In Milan: Project Brioni

Pictured here: Simon Travers-Spencer's winning design from a contest held by Brioni and Britain's Royal College of Art. The school's fashion students were asked to take Brioni's renowned fabrics and create original interpretations of the dinner jacket (a cornerstone of the Italian gentleman's wardrobe and, of course, Brioni's business). The results ranged from the sublime to the wacky, and all were executed with the help of the master tailors at Brioni's headquarters. Bad news for supporters of higher education: The designs will never be sold commercially. For now, it's strictly look, don't touch.
