This specialist part-time role will put you right at the heart of one of the world's leading fashion education centres, passing on your knowledge and skills to a new generation.
You will help students realize their individual design ambitions by providing technical support based on your knowledge of garment construction, acting as an organisational base for materials, processes and equipment. As well as being responsible for the specialist machine room, you will run workshops, assess students’ work and plan and prepare exhibitions and shows. The role will involve working evenings and occasional Saturdays.
We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with a sound grasp of garment construction and pattern cutting techniques and processes and an up-to-date knowledge of new technological developments in the clothing industry. A relevant degree, HND or FdA qualification or equivalent will be required, together with excellent planning and problem-solving skills.
In return, we offer a competitive employment package including a salary that reflects working in London; generous annual leave; a final salary pension scheme; and a commitment to your continuing personal and career development in an environment that encourages creativity, diversity and excellence.
